It made me look differently at my own habits, patterns and the things I’ve accepted without really questioning them. Simple idea, but it definitely makes you think. Worth a read.
I read this book before I read the other one The Game Them Never Explained. Now I’m about to read the Operator Playbook. I read the Game twice because its opened my eyes so much. This one break me free from the prison i lived for 38 years but didn’t know. It’s uncomfortable but i feel free
A really interesting book that made me look at my own habits and thinking patterns differently. I’d recommend it to anyone who is working on themselves and looking to grow.
I almost didn’t buy them because I genuinely thought I was too old for this kind of thing.
Then one sentence in this book made me stop. It talked about how we mistake inherited beliefs for our own identity. I sat there wondering how many of my biggest decisions were actually mine, and how many belonged to my parents, my upbringing, or simply what everyone around me expected.
That wasn’t an easy realization. I won’t pretend these books gave me my time back, bc they didn’t. But they gave me something I thought I’d lost years ago. The feeling that I still get to decide who I become next. I only wish I’d read them thirty years earlier.
The inner child part got me more than I expected. I actually had to stop reading for a minute because it brought up things I thought I was already over. Some of it was uncomfortable, but in a good way. It made me understand myself a little differently. Highly recommend this book, its giving much mlre then I thought
